Since the pandemic, Byron has been re-inventing himself as a player of historical keyboard instruments.   'Red Room Renaissance' being the project which at first was fuelled by a deep delving into the Fitzwillaim Virginal Books during lock-down and has since extended into a wider range of Renaissance and Baroque solo repertoire.  He also enjoys playing basso continuo with various small chamber groups.
